School Council
Welcome to the Bletchingley Village School Council page!
At the beginning of the academic year, each class votes for two children to represent them on the School Council.
Our current representatives are:
Year 1: Grace and Ethan Year 2: Daisy and Joel Year 3: Alfie Year 4: Joshua and Annabel
Year 5: Isla and Rhys Year 6: Jessica M, Jessica J, Harrison and Skye
The school council has an important role as the pupil voice of the school. They meet regularly to discuss what is happening in school and any issues raised by the pupils. They also discuss regular topics such as the charity they wish to support for the year, projects relating to their development plan, recycling duties and responsibilities.
Please see our children's school development plan below.
HEALTHY EATING
We have recently done a survey on healthy lunches, please see the results below.
Squirrel class spent their healthy eating day learning about the different food groups. They know that we should eat a range of foods from each group to create a balanced diet. The children used what they know to design and make a sandwich which could form part of a healthy lunchbox. They have written recipes, which can be found below, so you can recreate their delicious creations.
For Healthy Eating Day the children in Fox Class made some meals for a healthy lunchbox, these included; a banana and blueberry smoothie, pitta pizzas and cream cheese rice cakes. The children wrote their own recipes for the food we made and they can be found below. Why not have a go at making some yourself! All of the recipes we used and lots more can be found at https://www.nhs.uk/change4life/recipes
